You do not have to work out the next step on your own
If somebody you love is struggling, if a situation has come to a head, or if you have just found out something you cannot unknow, this is the right place to start.
Tell us what is happening, in as much or as little detail as you want. We will come back to you with a clear, practical next step.
If this is an emergency
Nikki Munitz & Associates is not an emergency service. If somebody is in immediate danger, or needs urgent medical or psychiatric care, please contact emergency services or a national helpline directly rather than waiting for a reply from us.
SADAG and the national emergency helplines are listed below and in the footer of every page.
Suicide Crisis Helpline: tel:+27 800 567 567 (or SMS 31393) . Substance Abuse Line: tel:+27 800 12 13 14 (or SMS 32312) . Mental Health Line: tel:+27 800 20 50 26

You do not need a label to reach out
People contact us about addiction, alcohol, prescription medication, eating and body image, burnout, anxiety, relationships, and situations they cannot quite name.
Many are not sure they qualify. They do not see themselves in the words that usually get used, and so they wait. If you have read this far, that is reason enough to send a message.
You are not the first person to be here
Families come to us at every stage. Some have been dealing with this for years. Some found out yesterday. Some are asking on their own behalf. Wherever you are in that, it is a reasonable place to start from.
Nikki has worked in this field since 2010 and lived it herself before that.
Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly will somebody respond?
Within 24 hours, and usually sooner.
Is this an emergency service?
No. If somebody is in immediate danger or needs urgent medical or psychiatric care, contact emergency services or a national helpline directly.
I am asking about somebody else. Can you still help?
Yes. A great deal of our work starts with the family rather than the person who is struggling.
Do I have to be in Cape Town?
No. Most of what we do is online and we work with people across South Africa and internationally.
What if I am not sure my situation is serious enough?
Very few people reach out too early. Most wait far longer than they needed to.
Will you tell them I contacted you?
We will talk through confidentiality, and how you want to approach the situation, before any next step is taken.
