The Golden Key Programme

The Golden Key is a twelve-week self-esteem programme built on a specially crafted model, delivered as twelve targeted workshops over twelve consecutive weeks, alongside a small group of peers in a safe space.

Nikki created it with her mentor, Celia Coburn, and has taught it for over a decade. It is the programme everything else at Nikki Munitz & Associates is built around.

Is life a cycle you keep repeating?

Do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or as though you are living on autopilot? Are you caught in patterns that once protected you but no longer serve your growth? Are you genuinely kind to yourself, and do you give to yourself as much as you give to others?

The Golden Key is a practical, deeply transformational series of workshops designed to support you in breaking old cycles, rebuilding self-worth, and creating a life that feels aligned and sustainable.

Rooted in real-life experience and proven methods, it goes beyond theory. It meets you where you are and gives you the tools, insight and support to create lasting change from the inside out.

The twelve workshops

1. My ball and chain

self-harming and self-limiting behaviours

The habits that once protected you and now hold you in place.

2. The key

self-esteem

Why everything else in this programme rests on this one thing.

3. Getting to know myself

competence

An honest inventory of what you can actually do, not what you tell yourself you can.

4. Getting to like myself

self-love

The harder half. Knowing yourself and liking yourself are not the same work.

5. Communicating effectively

assertion

Saying the thing, to the person, at the time. Without apology or attack.

6. Dealing with emotions effectively

feelings

What to do with an emotion other than act on it or bury it.

7. Refining the principles you live by

values

What you actually stand for, as opposed to what you were handed.

8. Loving the skin you’re in

body image

Making peace with the body you have, rather than negotiating with it.

9. Trusting your leap of faith

risk-taking

Telling the difference between fear that is protecting you and fear that is stopping you.

10. The internal monologue

self-talk

The voice you have listened to longest, and never once questioned.

11. Taking responsibility for ongoing success

self-discipline

What holds when motivation runs out, which it will.

12. Where are you now?

consolidation

Looking back at twelve weeks and seeing what has actually changed.

About that last one

In workshop two you complete a self-assessment of where your self-esteem actually sits. You do it again in workshop eleven.

Workshop twelve is where you put the pieces together and look at the two side by side. Not because somebody tells you that you have changed, but because you can see it in your own answers, in your own handwriting, three months apart.

That is the point of the programme in a single session.

What you get

A working manual

Every participant receives a working manual at the start, divided into the twelve workshops. It carries informative content, creative activities and discussions designed to illustrate the concept of self-esteem, along with readings to explore in your own time.

Led by Nikki, with industry specialists

Nikki leads the programme, supported by specialists in their fields. You are guided throughout, and you do the work alongside peers making the same journey. That combination is what makes the difference: the material matters, and so does not doing it alone.

Lifetime access, and refreshers

On completion you keep lifetime access to all the Golden Key materials, along with opportunities to attend future refreshers. People do come back and repeat it, often years later, and they see something different each time.

Three ways to do it

What people say

Who it is for

Somebody in recovery who has stabilised and is ready to build rather than maintain.

Somebody with no history of addiction who recognises the pattern of self-doubt running their decisions.

Anybody who has changed the external circumstances and found the internal ones followed them.

Students on our counsellor training, who complete the programme as part of their own personal development.
